Operation Lifesaver

The New Mexico Rail Runner Express works in conjunction with Operation Lifesaver, Inc., a national, non-profit organization developed to promote train safety and awareness. 

In order to educate the public about railway safety with the train safety message provided by Operation Lifesaver, Inc., New Mexico Rail Runner Express staff members have visited more than 300 schools, senior centers, state/county fairs, scout troops, museums, churches, libraries, driver's education classes, professional drivers, bus drivers and many other groups and locations.

Train tracks, bridges and yards are private property. Never walk on or along the tracks to take photos or video; it’s illegal and dangerous.
