Further, under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) of 1990, no entity shall discriminate against an individual with a physical or mental disability in connection with the provision of transportation service.

Making a Title VI / ADA Complaint

Any person who believes he or she has been subject to an unlawful discriminatory practice in the receipt of Rio Metro services or programs may file a complaint. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with Rio Metro within 90 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurence. Please contact Rio Metro to request additional information on Rio Metro’s non-discrimination obligations or to file a Title VI / ADA complaint.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)

In accordance with the regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation, 49 CFR Part 26, notice is hereby given that the Rio Metro Regional Transit District (RMRTD) proposes an overall goal of 6.018% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in RMRTD contracting opportunities during Fiscal Years 2018 – 2020. The proposed goal and rationale for goal development are available for public review for a period of 30 days during normal business hours at the address listed below. Furthermore, interested persons, may submit written comments with 45 days of this notice to:
