The Village of Los Lunas and Rio Metro Regional Transit District present Santa's Coming to Town on December 9, 2023 at the Los Lunas Transportation Center. Join us for this free, family-friendly event featuring games, crafts, a tree lighting, and, of course, pictures with Santa! There will be extra New Mexico Rail Runner Express trains to accommodate our guests.

• Meet Santa - Father Christmas arrives at 6 p.m.
• Christmas Stocking Giveaway - Children will receive a filled stocking (while supplies last)

• Model Train Exhibit - Interactive model trains
• Face Painting - Wear your holiday art home with face painting by Monique's Body Art and SweetLeaf Creationz 
• Balloon Twisting - Take home a fun balloon creation from Jumping Beans Play Yards
• Meet Trax - Meet and take a selfie with the Rail Runner mascot
• And more!

All activities are free! Local food trucks will also be on-site with tasty offerings.

Getting There

Take the Rail Runner

The New Mexico Rail Runner Express is offering special train service for the event! Board the train at any station and exit at the Los Lunas Rail Runner Station. It is recommended to be at the station platform 10-15 minutes prior to departure time.

Train Fares

Regular train fares apply. Children 9 and under always ride free! Youth ages 10-17 receive a reduced rate. 

Train passes can be purchased in advance online or from a ticket agent on the train.

Driving and Parking

Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Los Lunas Transportation Center.
