Shakespeare on the Rail

Shakespeare on the Rail brings quality Shakespeare scenes back to the New Mexico Rail Runner Express this summer. On June 10, 17 and 24, passengers on the #704 northbound and #705 southbound trains will be treated to half-hour performances from three of Shakespeare’s plays, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Much Ado About Nothing, and Hamlet. Performances occur on the bottom level of the southernmost passenger car. There is no charge for the performance beyond the normal train fare. Santa Fe Greek Festival

On Sunday, June 25 ride the Rail Runner to the Santa Fe Depot to experience all the sights, sounds, and smells of Greece at the Santa Fe Greek Festival. This new festival located at the Santa Fe Depot/Tomasita's parking lot will include Greek food and pastries, beer, wine, dancing, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and an all new kids area! Lavender Festival

The original Lavender in the Village Festival returns to the Village of Los Ranchos on Saturday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature more than 70 vendors of all things lavender including bouquets, lotions, pies, cakes, beer, wine, fine art, and so much more. Located on Rio Grande Blvd. NW, across the street from Los Poblanos Inn & Farm, this one day celebration also features free on-site yoga classes, live music, and a kids camp allowing parents to enjoy the festival while their kids take on creative projects.  Tickets $8.
